1 tsp dry yeast
|1. Soften yeast in warm water in large bowl|
2.Add salt, sugar, and flour; knead to make a soft smooth dough
3.Do not let rise. Divide dough into 12 pieces for medium pretzels or
six pieces for large shapes.
4.Roll into thin ropes and twist into pretzel shapes
5.Place on cookies sheet covered with aluminum foil and dusted with flour.
6.Brush pretzels with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt
7.Bake at 400 about 15 minutes until light brown
8.Serve warm or cold, plain, with mustard or cheese.
